New Options for Digital Currency Users Worldwide

San Jose, Costa Rica (PRWEB) July 21, 2007 -- Digital Currency users wondering what was going to happen with the giant void left in the marketplace now have a new option at their fingertips, V-Coin, and their VC$, a digital currency administered by the Central American International Trust Company based in San Jose, Costa Rica

V-Coin entered the marketplace several weeks ago with their soft launch and now is rapidly gaining acceptance. V-Coin operates very similar to well known company E-Gold, with several important additional benefits.

V-Coin is a new 'digital' currency platform which unlike Digital Gold Currencies has their Digital Currency pegged to the United States Dollar. Miguel Maderaverde, General Manager at V-Coin explains "One of the many great features which sets us apart from other Digital Currency (http://v-coin.com) Operators is a VC$ is always equal to 1 US Dollar, this means no more losses due to currency fluctuations, also as we are based entirely offshore here in Costa Rica, users can rest assured of privacy protection and finally all monies backing our currency are held with our parent company the Central American International Trust Company providing our users peace of mind."

The primary function of the system is to facilitate payments, in a closed marketplace, between V-Coin members. A secondary function is for V-Coin members to make payments to entities who are not yet V-Coin members. For this purpose, the V-Coin system can be instructed to send VC$ payments via email allowing the recipient to sign up and collect their pending V-Coin Payment.

V-Coin also offers a marketplace, much like a shopping mall for member merchants to promote their online businesses which accept payment in V-Coin at no additional charge. Mr. Maderaverde explained "not only do we wish to make it easy for online merchants to accept payment in V-Coin, but we want to help them get the exposure their businesses need.

There is no cost or fee involved in opening an account. There is also no obligation. There is a small transaction fee on all transactions between V-Coin customers, currently 0.35% plus VC$ 0.35

Accepting V-Coin from a merchant's web site is simple just add their Buy Now button code.

All of this combined with V-Coin's aggressively low fee schedule it seems like V-Coin is a winning candidate in the Digital Currency race.

About V-Coin:

V-Coin is a monetary (payments) system which enables the use of digital coins (VC$) as money. Central American International Trust Company S.A., a privately held company headquartered in San Jose, Costa Rica administers the system, and oversees the inventory of United States Dollars held on account by third party financial institutions.
